You just left me a lovely long comment on my blog but I couldn't reply to it as you are a 'no reply' blogger (you need to put your email address in to your blogger account so bloggers can reply to your comments). But actually I am pleased you are as now I have discovered this amazing giveaway just in time!! I would love to win these! I am an 'off an on'gardener depending on the house I am living in. We just moved back out to the country from the city last August so I am keen to get started growing some flowers in my new garden (we have 7 acres so it's a bit daunting). I want zinnias more than anything!
Also for your bonus prize I would use that fabric for the quilt I need to make my niece for her wedding in July!
I was excited to hear about your real live owls. My husband has just started making a barn owl nest box so we can try and lure some owls to our barn!!myBearpawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09513624290881481351noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4862767056465485791.post-27973674351815014432011-02-28T00:09:51.295-05:002011-02-28T00:09:51.295-05:00I would be a gardener but I live in an apartment a...I would be a gardener but I live in an apartment and have no garden. And I am lazy so... lol. I did try my hands at tomatoes once, and one year they did ok, the next they didn't. But I won't give up, perhaps at our next place we live.

So I don't count myself as being a gardener, so the next spring thing that I will be doing will be taking walks and cleaning the house, opening the windows. (we live in Wisconsin, the windows stay closed for a long long time during the winter months).

I would definitely do a quilt. I have a few quilts I haven't started yet cause I don't have the right fabrics for it, and these seem perfect. Specifically a sampler quilt that I want to do, but just haven't started yet cause of fabric choices. These are gorgeous.

Happy Blog Follower appreciation day!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12770434324643327781noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4862767056465485791.post-65335625948459271482011-02-27T22:07:59.796-05:002011-02-27T22:07:59.796-05:00Just found your blog. I bought the house that I grew up in and now both of my parents have passed away and I spend time in my garden because it brings me memories of my Mom. This spring I hope to transplant several rose bushes that I gave her 39 years ago to my Fathers "memory garden" at the back of the house. We plan to renovate the house in an expansion and I can't bear the thought of workers trampling her roses, especially since they were a gift from me! I also sew and quilt and the fabric looks like it would make a beautiful spring quilt! At the moment I am pruning back anything that has got leggy and pitting down lots of mulch for the cold weather. I dream of planting something that grows to maturity and eatability. mostly i get they-tried results. the best i ever planted was a rosemary plant that lasted me 4 years! now i understand that rosemary can last much longer than that but for an edible anything that actually matured to being used, 4 years was a major thing! this year i planted one basil plant and one mint plant so far. i have to add the herbs in pots to the front area slowly or hubby figures out that i'm trying to "garden" yet again.
“What kind of project would you use this fabric for?” I would use it for something totally happy looking as it is happy colored fabric. perhaps 6 1/2" cut squares with some alternating pieces from my stash to burn some stash and use up the newly won 3 yards before they lingered too long to become stash! i'd use them to help jump start the quilting/sewing fever I used have up until 4 years ago.

thanks for visiting my blog and i've enjoyed yours! denise/deBRAT in tampa bay floridadenise/deBRAThttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17205903991382389718noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4862767056465485791.post-15363004857469738452011-02-26T04:13:42.960-05:002011-02-26T04:13:42.960-05:00As we are coming on to Autumn here in Australia, I...As we are coming on to Autumn here in Australia, I can tell you that I'm going to enjoy that season by finishing up some quilts and start knitting!
